Pops —

Okay, this whole "Chris did it!" things is an old family tale. Pops would take longer to spin this yarn, but the long and short of it is this; while at the ripe young age of 3, and in an effort to asert my innocence and protect myself from obvious punishment, I approached my parents, pointed out the window at my first snow fall and blamed it on my brother Chris.

I had thought about scribbling a story about him as some sorta gun toting, tooth missing, ZZ-Top bearded wearing, moonshine making, pick-up driving local yeehaa. But, it seems that such a story wouldn't be too far from the truth - I mean, he has/does own a shot gun, he's prolly a missing tooth or two way in the back, and he drives a pick up. So, I am relageted to sharing other stories...

The two photos you see here are two of my favorites from my dads house. I took these on one of my two visits, and while standing on a roof-top balcolny that overlook the surrounding mountains and possibly the Appalachian Trail.

The "Appalachian National Scenic Trail" is a 2,167-mile (3,488 km) footpath along the ridge crests and across the major valleys of the Appalachian Mountains from Katahdin in Maine to Springer Mountain in north Georgia. No matter where you are on the east coast, the trail is within reach for a weekend getaway, or if you're ambitious enough, a hike spanning the entire lenght of the trail — should only take you all summer. : )
